Hector Santiago is a lifelong Yonkers resident and founder of the nationally acclaimed Stop & Shake program, which has been implemented in all police departments, one school, and multiple organizations and businesses throughout the City of Yonkers.

Santiago is the co-owner of Yonkers' first laundry butler service "Bubbles by the Pier," and is currently studying sociology on a full scholarship at the College of Mount Saint Vincent. He is a motivational speaker, mentor, life coach and reformed gang member.

He is active in the community resolving any and all social issues, with peace and equality being the foundation of all projects.

Santiago mentors youth throughout the City of Yonkers, guiding and helping them to strengthen their interpersonal communication skills. Through exposure, expression and arts, the Stop & Shake has given many of the students the proper lens needed to make rational and successful decisions.

His daughter Emarie G. Santiago had already fed the homeless, performed at open mics, marketed, volunteered with intellectually disabled children and at art galleries and local events by the age of 6.
